This one is deeply personal.
I’m running in honor of my niece, Morgan Lueder, who has been living with multiple sclerosis since her early 20s. Since her diagnosis, she has faced surgeries, daily challenges, and all the uncertainty that comes with MS. Yet through it all, Morgan has shown incredible strength, determination, and grace.
She’s also a devoted single mom to her amazing 10-year-old son, Ryker. Despite everything on her plate, Morgan continues to put others first. Each year, she organizes and participates in her own MS walk team, “The Morganators,” raising awareness, supporting the MS community, and inspiring everyone around her with her positive spirit and unwavering resilience.
Watching Morgan navigate life with courage and optimism has been both humbling and motivating. She reminds me that challenges don’t define us—how we respond to them does.
As a Wealth Advisor with Wealth Enhancement, I spend my career helping families prepare for life’s uncertainties and pursue the things that matter most to them. Morgan’s journey is a powerful reminder of why that work, and this cause, means so much. At Wealth Enhancement, we believe in helping people live richer lives, not just financially, but through the relationships, values, and communities that matter most.
That’s why I’m proud to participate in the MS Run the US San Francisco Marathon. I’m running to support Morgan, honor her strength, and help fund continued progress toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
MS affects nearly one million people in the United States, and every dollar raised helps support research, awareness, and resources for those living with the disease.
If Morgan can face each day with the courage and compassion she demonstrates, I can certainly put one foot in front of the other for 26.2 miles.
If you feel moved, I’d be grateful for your support, whether by donating, sharing our story, or simply helping raise awareness. Every step counts, and together, we can help bring hope to individuals and families impacted by MS.
Because some races are about finishing. This one is about making a difference.
